Our Story
At Brewer Financial Academy, we started with a simple idea: to teach tax professionals how to do tax preparation the right way. We believed at the time that everyone interested in doing taxes has a fundamental right to be taught the right way. Too many people were being taken advantage of and learned the wrong way and faced dire consequences as an a result. It led to other avenues to include business and other financial services. These services became popular and we saw the need and growth in our class sizes. That's why we offer affordable and high-quality educational services to students of all backgrounds.

About Us
Our History
Brewer Financial Academy was founded in 2015 by Monica Brewer, a financial planner and educator with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Monica saw a need for more accessible and personalized financial education and coaching services in Columbus, Ga., especially for low- and moderate-income individuals and families who face financial challenges and barriers. She decided to use her expertise and passion to create an organization that would provide high-quality and affordable financial education and coaching programs to help people improve their financial literacy, skills, and behaviors. Since its inception, Brewer Financial Academy has served over 1,000 clients and community members in Columbus, Ga., offering a range of programs and services, such as budgeting, debt management, credit repair, savings, investing, retirement planning, home ownership, and tax preparation. The organization has also established strong partnerships and collaborations with local schools, colleges, churches, businesses, and nonprofits to reach more clients and communities and to promote financial inclusion and empowerment. Brewer Financial Academy is dedicated to fulfilling its mission and vision of providing financial education and coaching that makes a positive difference in the lives of its clients and communities.
